Call out meeting for PEACE today
A call-out meeting for the group People Engaged in Action for Compassion for Everyone (PEACE) is planned for today - Friday, August 25 - at 3:00 p.m. in Room 170, Schroeder School of Business Building.
“There has been an escalation of overt acts of oppression in the United States this year,” says ethics director Lisa Kretz, “and for a lot of us, it feels overwhelming, scary, and depressing. One of the best ways to counter those disempowering feelings is to build communities of hope through action for positive change. We want to create a safe space for all of us - students, professors, staff, administration, and our wider local UE community - to discuss ways in which we can work together to create positive change in PEACE."
If you are interested, please come to the call-out meeting where the group will begin discussion. If you are interested but can't make the meeting, just e-mail lk102@evansville.edu and say you want to be in the google group and they will keep you informed of opportunities.
If you have any questions, please contact: LaNeeça R. Williams (chief diversity officer) lw161@evansville.edu or Lisa Kretz (ethics director) at lk102@evansville.edu.

Edwards and Gordon publish research article
Dale Edwards and Noah Gordon along with Anne Steele (’13) from the Department of Biology had an article published in the current volume of the Journal of Parasitology. The paper titled “A Comparison of Helminth Faunas of Cope's Gray (Hyla chrysoscelis) and Green (Hyla cinerea) Treefrogs in Areas of Recent Niche Overlap” underscores the role of parasites in the successful range expansion of green treefrogs into native habitats of closely related gray treefrogs.
