Since May, Professor McMullan has given readings around the country with fellow writers Phillip Lopate, Jane Smiley, Alexandra Styron, Jayne Anne Phillips, Jill McCorkle, and Ann Hood among others. As a result of the book’s popularity, the publisher has created a blog and invites readers interested in writing and sharing their own essays about their fathers. If you are a father, a daughter, or anyone who simply feels moved to write and share, send your work in an email to everyfathersdaughterblog@gmail.com.
Professor McMullan taught at UE for 25 years and served as the Melvin Peterson Chair of Literature and Creative Writing. She retired in May in order to write full time.
