After spending the majority of the tournament near the top of the leaderboard, University of Evansville golfers Tyler Gray and Wil Pahud each made the cut and earned strong finishes at the Indiana Amateur Championship.
Gray came home in a tie for 14th place while Pahud tied for 33rd at Otter Creek Golf Club. A native of Huntingburg, Ind., Gray finished the tournament with a 4-over 292 over the four rounds of action. After carding round of 73 and 71 in the first two rounds, he finished up with two scores of 74.
Pahud, who finished up his first season with the Purple Aces, tied for 33rd. His low score came in the second round as he tallied a 72. His 4-round score checked in at a 298, 10 over par.
Sean Rowen led wire-to-wire to take the championship. His 7-under 281 was one stroke ahead of 2nd-place Andrew Havill. Havill went into the final round trailing by six strokes, but a 5-under 67 saw him make his way back into the mix. Rowen held on thanks to a final round of 73.
