Discover your creative potential in a highly creative, informed, supportive and relaxed environment at a clay workshop this summer. Instruction is customized for the beginning ceramicist and for those more experienced in clay. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to develop their own clay bodies, formulate glazes, and experiment with various types of firings including: oxidation, reduction, raku, and horse hair. The workshop will consist of traditional methods on the potter’s wheel and hand-building techniques. Previous knowledge of ceramics is helpful, but not a requirement for participation in this workshop. (Upon registration, students will be provided with a list of basic tools required for success in class. Clay and glazes are available in class.)
