Evansville Firefighters have left the scene of a fire that occurred earlier this morning. Lincoln Avenue is now back open in both directions.

Evansville Firefighters are currently battling a blaze at the intersection of Lincoln and S. Bennighof Avenue near Memorial High School and in the area of the UE campus. Emergency crews have closed all lanes of Lincoln Avenue near the 1500 block. Please be prepared to seek an alternative route.
